The Object In Its Place: As Designed by Ted Cohen

Focusing on the creative life and lessons of the prominent, 92-year old San Francisco Bay Area Museum Exhibition designer Theodore H. “Ted” Cohen, this visually driven, limited edition publication offers useful information on the design form, while promising to illuminate creative possibilities for the readers’ own unique spaces.

The 172-page publication The Object in Its Place: Ted Cohen & The Art of Exhibition Design by Signe S. Mayfield features 200 images and is published by Mingei International Museum, San Diego, in association with the Oakland Museum of California and Museum of Craft and Design, San Francisco, and in cooperation with Fine Arts Press. It anticipates the Mingei’s exhibition of folk art objects gifted by the designer to the museum.
