Albert Dubout (1905 -1976, French) is known for his prolific cartoons of cats. Born in Marseille, he studied fine arts in Montpellier and was able to publish is first drawings there in 1923. After moving to Paris, he became a book illustrator and went on to publish more than 80 works. In 1953, he received the Legion of Honor.
