Here at MCD, we continue to extend our thoughts and support to those affected by Hurricane Helene. Many artists, designers, makers, and fellow creatives, including several represented in the Museum Store, have been impacted.

To support the affected artists in the Museum Store directly, we are donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their work back to the artists.

Unique ceramic bowls with paintings of shapes for your home. Made by ceramic artist Robert Milnes. Robert usually creates ceramic sculptures. However, these bowls are a special treat as part of his functional ceramic collection.

About the Artist:

Ceramic Artist Robert Milnes creates sculptures and vessels out of clay and other materials, notably copper. He grew up and studied in the United States on the West Coast and has worked in higher education throughout the country, now residing in Asheville, North Carolina.

He finds inspiration for his work in philosophy, travel, and research in the US, China, Japan, Mexico, the Middle East, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and other sites have informed his thought and work.
