Button Necklaces
Proclaimed by American Craft magazine as "The Button Man," Beau McCall creates wearable and visual art by hand-sewing clothing buttons onto mostly upcycled fabrics, materials, and objects. With his line of button necklaces, McCall, honors the long tradition of collecting and preserving buttons as keepsakes tied to personal memories and experiences. As he likes to say, “Every button has a past life.”
McCall's art is held in numerous permanent collections including the Museum of Arts and Design (New York, NY), Philadelphia Museum of Art (Philadelphia, PA), and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London, UK).
