Dance Floor Necklace by Brooke Battles
Bay Area artist Brooke Battles is inspired by nature, architecture, the feminine spirit, and the human form. She strives for each of her pieces to “seem like a dear friend who, for some special and perhaps indiscernible reason, captures a heart and lives on there.”
Born in Oklahoma, Brooke moved around the U.S. before deciding to call California home in 1983. She studied as a teacher and a corporate marketer, but she found her passion in art, and left the corporate world in 1994 to pursue jewelry making full time.
With some basic classes at City College SF, SFSU, Richmond Art Center, and Mendocino Art Center, Brooke began her studio and the rest is history. Now known primarily for her work in silver and gold, she also enjoys playing with form, natural stones, and enamel.
Fine silver, sterling silver, 18k gold, sapphire and druzy quartz.
Pendant measures 3” tall x 1.5” wide x 0.5” deep. Chain is 20“ long.
